Susan Rhilinger

The Committee to re-elect Susan to the Torrance City Council is proud and excited to announce that she will, after all, be running for re-election.

Early last year she had some difficult health problems that were very concerning and as a result she announced that she would not seek re-election. We continued to hope that it was a temporary situation and to our great relief Susan has since learned the health issue would not be debilitating.

Susan has served our community with distinction and integrity these last 3 ½ years as our Councilwoman and there is a collective sigh of relief that she will be able to serve our community for another 4 years.

Torrance faces significant challenges over the next few years. The state continues to eat away at local revenue presenting us with the responsibility of providing first class service with fewer resources. Susan has boldly met those challenges this term and is fully able and prepared to handle whatever comes our way in the next term.

Susan has devoted many hours and been a strong voice in the South Bay Cities Council of Governments (COG), The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), and various other regional and state organizations. Susan has the time, energy, knowledge, experience and desire to continue serving you at every level.
